Sergiy Tkachenko is an independent type-designer from Kremenchuk, Ukraine. Born in Khrystynivka, Cherkasy region in February 4, 1979, he later moved to Kremenchuk, Ukraine. He graduated from Kremenchuk State Polytechnic University in accounting and audit in 2004, and graduated from Kremenchuk State Polytechnic University in computer systems and networks in 2007. He has been a practicing software programmer and designer since 1993. Living in Ukraine, where all the major languages use the Cyrillic script, the main priority in font development is the creation of multi-language typefaces that must contain the Cyrillic character set.

Sergiy’s font foundry is called 4th february.
